Products of Change is proud to curate day two of the Brand and Licensing Innovation Summit showcasing the amazing work being driven by the group.  Day one (June 9) of the event has already highlighted the importance of sustainability in business with Lars-Johan Jarnheimer, chairman at Inga Holding, the Ikea Group stating that 65% of Ikea’s workers score sustainability as the number one reason they work for Ikea. Jarnheimer went on to say that: “If you are a big player in the market you must take responsibility for the products you produce. Sustainability is getting more space in store and it’s a profitable trend and one that is here to stay.” Across day two (June 10), the United Nations and Smurfs will focus on how brands can be a great force for social change, The Marketing Store will highlight why CSR is so important to the future of companies and BBC Studios will showcase the work being undertaken within Products of Change to build a set of legal guidelines to gain parity across sustainability metrics within the industry. There are also sessions on the race to net zero and what it means for business, the impact of fashion and what the industry is doing to reduce its impact and how sport can be used as a catalyst for change. The day ends with a panel conversation hosted by Helena Mansell-Stopher, founder of Products of Change; Stuart Lawrence, author of Silence is Not an Option: You Can Impact the World for Change; and Saphia Maxamed, Founder of the Black Lives Matter Licensing Movement. “I’m so proud that Products of Change was asked to curate day two of the conference,” says founder Helena Mansell-Stopher. “It shows how important sustainability is to our industry and gives us the opportunity to highlight the work already happening within the industry. It’s a great flavour of what we’ve got to come in our dedicated Sustainability in Licensing Conference (SILC) taking place 24 – 25 June digitally, where we’ll be focusing more on what we need to build as an industry.” Tickets to SILC are just £100 (+VAT) and are available from www.sustainabilityinlicensing.com, or from Clare Hollick of Createvents (event support) on clare@createvents.co.uk or by calling 0118 334 0085.
