Cosmopolitan partners with Ethical Products for Cosmo Furbabies pet products range
The pet product specialist, Ethical Products, has partnered with the women’s media brand Cosmopolitan to launch a new range of Cosmo Furbabies pet apparel, toys, and accessories across the US.
In a licensing deal brokered by the licensing agency, IMG, the new range aims to tap into the Cosmo-reading audience of pet owners with a selection of officially licensed toys, beds, carriers, accessories, and more.
As the name would suggest, Ethical Products is a supporter of the ethical production of its ranges, utilising recycled or natural materials where it can across its SPOT product line and having made the switch to 100 per cent solar powered energy across its facility back in 2011. Within its company mission, Ethical Products is committed to reducing its impact on the environment and is a supporter of the Pet Industry Sustainability Coalition.
“As a leader in pet suppliers, we are excited to partner with such a recognised brand to develop a line of pet products with a design, style, and trend appeal that is prevalent among many millennial pet parents,” said Jonathan Zelinger, president of Ethical Products, Inc.
“The Cosmo Furbabies products will also resonate with a much broader audience of pet parents who adore and pamper their pets.”
The new range consists of 17 dog toys, six cat toys, two styles of dishes and diners, two carriers, three collections of beds, waste management supplies, and a complete line of apparel including tees, hoodies, sweaters, jackets, and raincoats.
While Ethical Products does introduce recycled and natural materials across its SPOT branded product range, the Cosmo range appears to fall outside of the remit for now, but does offer a level of transparency as to the materials used in the products of items, such as its pet apparel collection.
The range does offer a line of replacement cornstarch bags for the Cosmo Waste Bag Holder, scented with vanilla and billed as biodegradable ‘because we love to keep things green.’
All products are produced at the company’s Bloomfield, NJ facility, a space that in 2011 was equipped with 1,472 solar panels allowing the team to operate on 100 per cent solar power. The investment has since helped Ethical Products reduce its CO2 emissions by 861,000 pounds a year – the equivalent of driving 978,000 miles.
