Discovery, Eden Project, Carousel Calendars among B&LLAs Sustainability Award finalists

The Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards will be held on Wednesday 27 April

Discovery, Eden Project, the Carousel Calendars and a host of other Products of Change members have been named among the shortlisted finalists for the Sustainability Brand Licensed Products or Range Award in this year’s B&LLAs. Officially unveiled today (24 March) the shortlist goes some length to highlight the innovation emerging from the brand and licensing sector, as well as the envelope being pushed by companies when it comes to sector sustainability.

Ranges from Desmond & Dempsey and Floral Street Fragrances stand alongside new partnerships from DC Thomson Media and Lifestyle Garden, offering a snapshot representation of the breadth of action being taken and highlighted across the industry. This year’s B&LLAs attracted a strong number of entries from companies large and small. Each and every entry was judged by a panel that comprised retail buyers from across the spectrum, including Selfridges, TJ Morris, The Entertainer, The Very Group, Asda, Liberty London, TruffleShuffle, Character.com, Matalan, Tesco, Waterstones, John Lewis, BM Stores, Morrisons, and Moonpig among others.

“Our judges were certainly faced with a tricky task when it came to choosing this year’s finalists; the quality of entries was superb and we have ended up with an absolutely stellar shortlist,” said Ian Hyder, CEO of Max Publishing, which owns and organises the B&LLAs. “The brand and lifestyle licensing industry is going from strength to strength and we cannot wait to celebrate with everyone on 27 April.”

The B&LLAs 2022 finalists for the Sustainability Brand Licensed Products or Range Award, are:

  • DuraOcean Furniture from LifestyleGarden
  • Eden Project Canopy Collection from LSA
  • Eden Project Nespresso Compatible Coffee Pods from Fresh Coffee Shop
  • Grand Designs Sofas for DFS from DFS Trading
  • Marine Conservation Society Sea Change 2022 Calendar from Carousel Calendars
  • Natural History Museum The Epic Dinosaur Collection from Desmond & Dempsey
  • Van Gogh Museum Sunflower Pop from Floral Street Fragrances
  • WWF x F&F Kids and Baby Collection from Tesco
The winners will be crowned in a glittering afternoon ceremony on Wednesday 27 April at the Hilton Park Lane, London. Here, the winners from each of the Awards’ 20 categories will be announced.
Eden Project lands another shortlisted entry thanks to its partnership with LSA for the Canopy Collection
Other product award categories include Best Brand Licensing Health and Beauty Products or Range, in which the Van Gogh Museum Sunflower Pop from Floral Street Fragrances also features, and Best Licensed Heritage or Institution Brand, that sees Eden Project go up against the Natural History Museum, the National Trust, the Royal Horticultural Society, and the Van Gogh Museum among others.
