The February issue of Toy World includes a 32-page special on green toys

UK trade magazine, Toy World has included a 32-page special in its February issue focussing on sustainable/eco-friendly toys. The magazine highlights the latest product launches that reflect a sustainability ethos, as well as the steps toy suppliers are taking to work in more environmentally friendly ways. Editor Rachael Simpson-Jones says in her introduction that “the pandemic has accelerated many things; the growth of online retail, remote-working technology, advances in medical science – and the demand for environmentally-friendly, sustainable, recyclable or biodegradable products across all industries.” The feature interview is with Ogeday Ucurum and Elif Atmaca, founders of Toyi – a new company that aims to get kids upcycling through play with its range of innovative construction kits which turn everyday objects into toys. Suppliers and manufacturers from Crayola, Junko, Amscan, GB Eye and Boiobuddi talk about how their eco-friendly and sustainability goals extend past product and are being embedded in the way they run their businesses. The magazine then wraps up with 11 pages of eco-friendly product releases. Read the Toy World special green issue online now
