Drapers Sustainable Fashion conference will be held virtually this year

Drapers Sustainable Fashion conference held virtually on March 10-11 will explore the latest developments in cleaning up fashion’s supply chain, and look at how the industry builds back better after the coronavirus pandemic. Sustainability remains one of the top priorities for fashion retailers and brands in the UK. Experts believe now is an excellent time to work towards a cleaner future for fashion, using the disruption caused by Covid-19 as an opportunity to examine how businesses operate, and change for the better. Sustainability is no longer a “nice to have”, but a mainstream and fundamental foundation from which forward-thinking fashion brands and retailers will be able to attract investment – and customers, who now demand more ethical and environmentally friendly product. “With the global fashion industry being the second most polluting outside of oil, and licensed fashion being worth circa $38billion globally, we are keen to promote all events that will lead us to a more sustainable future as an industry,” said founder of Products of Change, Helena Mansell-Stopher. “I will be attending, along with the POC fashion ambassador Kate French. Hopefully we will see you there.” The Drapers Sustainable Fashion conference is held over two days with thought leaders from the industry giving talks on subjects such as sustainable development goals (SDGs), avoiding the greenwashing trap, in-store recycling and the rise of resale fashion. Tickets are now on sale from £75 + VAT
