Teemill will be joining POC on our stand D254 to demonstrate its circular print-on-demand technology and how it is enabling the licensing industry to reduce its waste and close the loop.
Teemill has open sourced its model for companies to use, to enable easy adoption and growth of the circular system, which sees the creation of closed-loop packaging, low-impact printing, and its innovative Remill operation to recycle old tees into new ones.
Tobias Penner, director of trading, Teemill, explains the original idea behind the company was finding out how it could open source its supply chain and enable other brands to connect to it. “Rather than keeping the technology and that supply chain to ourselves, we wanted to help other brands – whether that be established players that were already manufacturing themselves or those which hadn’t touched merchandise before.
“The whole principle of it was making it as easy as possible for people to adopt a more sustainable product, so they can bring that product to market, and then we can grow the scale of circularity in the fashion industry and drive forward more change.”
The company will be showcasing how circularity can be built into licensing to reduce waste, cut costs and accelerate speed to market through its proprietary technology. On the stand, Teemill will have examples of licensing collaborations with products people can see, touch and feel.
