POC Member, Teemill is making its exhibitor debut at Brand Licensing Europe next month, offering brand owners a data-led route from IP to consumer that can identify untapped audiences, test new product ideas and create incremental revenue.
By Samantha Loveday, Licensing Source.
The company will showcase how its owned retail brands – Rapanui and Shirtbox – combined with its marketplace network and proprietary technology, can turn consumer insight into products, and products into new commercial opportunities.
Rather than asking brands to start with a product, Teemill starts with the consumer.
Its platform brings together market intelligence, product development, retail distribution, manufacturing, marketing and fulfilment, giving brand owners the ability to identify an opportunity, develop a proposition, put it in front of consumers and learn from what happens next.
Teemill is designed to sit alongside existing licensing and retail relationships, not replace them.
“We want brand owners to see Teemill as an intelligent, additive route to retail,” explained Rob Caulfield, brand licensing at Teemill. “We can look at where a brand is already active, identify the audiences and categories that are not being served, and then turn those gaps into testable retail opportunities.
“Retail Remade is our mantra. We’re changing how products come to market, making circular production the standard rather than the exception. But the real advantage is speed. We can put an idea in front of consumers, see what they respond to and use that insight to decide what comes next.”
Teemill already operates at both ends of the retail equation. Rapanui has built an established consumer following around sustainable apparel, while Shirtbox brings a more playful, culturally relevant approach to licensed apparel and gifting.
Together, they give Teemill direct experience across customer acquisition, digital merchandising, product development, conversion and repeat purchasing. Its wider marketplace capabilities extend that reach, giving brands additional routes to consumers while generating insight into how different IP, products and creative concepts perform across channels.
The model is built around on-demand, circular production. That means brands can explore new categories and ideas without the traditional requirement to commit to large production runs before knowing whether consumers will buy.
Teemill be exhibiting on stand C242 at Brand Licensing Europe from 6-8 October at London’s Excel.
