Driving change from the inside at the Conference of Marketers

Hosted by POC Conference 2024 speakers, Michelle Carvill and Gemma Butler, writers and founders of Can Marketing Save the Planet?, Conference of Marketers 2 (COM2) on 12th March, London, is the follow up to the inaugural conference last year.

The COMs are focused on ‘Rethinking Marketing as a Force for Good – Uniting skills, creativity and influence to drive awareness, collective action and meaningful change’ and the 2025 theme explores ‘How does business and Marketers drive being a force for change from the inside’.

COM brings together a collective of marketers to work together towards collective solutions and drive meaningful action. The objective of these shared experiences is to bring together different perspectives, know-how and experience to problem-solve and drive commitments to deliver practical outcomes and solutions. It will address what the growing climate pressures and legislative changes mean for marketers and the role they can play in future-proofing business.

Speakers for the day include: Kian Bakhitiari, founder of The People; Kevin Dunckley, CSO at HH Global; Gerald Breatnach, head of planning & insights at Google; Ozlem Senturk, senior partner, Global Sustainable Transformation Practice at Kantarl; and Jon Miller, co-founder The Sustainable Business Practice, Brunswick Group, who will each bring insights and challenges to COM2 attendees. The full agenda is available here.

“We can guarantee a packed day, full of energy, inspiration, ideas, collaboration and action taking. And then some drinks, download and networking to close off the event,” says the organisers.

According to the recent edie.net Sustainable Business Tracker survey –  “42% of business leaders said that engaging their staff is the biggest hurdle to implementing their sustainability strategies. As a result, 83% are making staff engagement a top priority this year.”- evidence that the critical ‘internal’ communication piece is often missed. Are Marketers too ‘outwards’ focused? This and plenty more to be discussed on the day.

Tickets are available here, and as with COM1, 50% of profits will be donated to the projects supported via the Can Marketing Save the Planet Pinwheel Sustainability Fund

POC Members can receive 20% off the COM2 ticket price. Email kathryn@productsofchange.com for details.
