Helena speaks on the sustainability-profitability balance at Source Fashion next week

Sustainable fashion sourcing show, Source Fashion, is back at Olympia London next week (13-15 January).

Armed with a mission to unite manufacturers from global sourcing regions to high profile retailers, brands, and designers, with a focus on responsibility, sustainability, and fair-trade.

Through expert-led sessions, actionable insight, and shared initiatives, Source Fashion will spotlight practical steps towards a more responsible, circular, and insight-driven global sourcing ecosystem.

Products of Change founder and CEO, Helena Mansell-Stopher, will be joining the show’s content line up to deliver a session with Catherine Salvidge from WRAP, titled Ambition without action – can doing good really drive profitability?

Held on Tuesday 13 January from 12:10-13:10, the session is set up as a debate, with audience involvement encouraged, centered around the discussion point that purpose before profit has been spoken about for so long, but if it really worked, wouldn’t it be business as usual by now?

Many retailers are held back from cost pressures, risk aversion or the barrier of legacy systems – keeping them trapped in a cycle of ambition without action.

This debate asks: if doing good is so important, why isn’t it already embedded in the DNA of every retailer? The session will challenge whether purpose-led business is commercially viable and what it would take to make profit and impact truly coexist.

Source Fashion has an ongoing partnership with Products of Change, as well as with WRAP and now Euromonitor International, to unite sustainability leaders, innovators, and analysts to inspire meaningful industry progress.

Source Fashion’s partnership with Products of Change highlights the events’s commitment to inclusion, equity, and sustainable innovation across the fashion supply chain. Products of Change case studies and content will be featured in the show’s newsletter and content hub, offering practical examples of how inclusive practices can drive positive change within the industry.

As well as POC sharing its expertise on stage during the show, Helena will further support the show by joining its advisory board, helping to guide programming and initiatives that reflect the sector’s evolving sustainability and inclusion priorities.

Helena commented, “At Products of Change, we believe that meaningful progress in sustainability and inclusion can only be achieved through shared commitment and collective action. Our continued collaboration with Source Fashion enables us to continue to engage directly with brands, manufacturers, and industry leaders, particularly in the fashion space, who are ready to challenge norms and embrace responsible business practices. By working together and showcasing real-world examples of positive change, we can inspire a more equitable, innovative, and future-fit fashion supply chain.”
