Since it’s Christmas, we’ve put together a POC advent calendar to share a few of Team POC’s favourite products and some sustainable Christmas gift ideas, every day for December!
Day One: Tony’s Chocolonely advent calendar
The Tony’s Chocolonely advent calendar is plastic free, contains delicious chocolate, and supports Tony’s commitment to end exploitation in cocoa. With each window you contribute to Tony’s Chocolonely’s commitment to end exploitation in cocoa. There are also smaller countdown calendars available on the Tony’s website.
You can read more about this on the POC website, in the recap of the Tony’s Chocolonely session at our Conference. Make a cuppa, grab a bar and enjoy some 🍫
Day Two: Danilo Harry Potter Christmas cards
Day two of our advent calendar, and it’s time to send a Christmas card or two! We think these Harry Potter cards by POC member Danilo Promotions Ltd are a rather lovely way to spread some happiness.
Officially licensed by Warner Bros (also a POC member), what better way to wish someone a Merry Christmas than through the magic of Harry Potter.
Day Three: Natural History Museum tree ornaments
Decorate your tree with beautiful felt decorations from the Natural History Museum’s shop.
Made from sustainably sourced wool, this Blue Marlin decoration is a lighter, felt version of the real thing, which is on display in the Hintze Hall at the museum.
There are lots of other sustainable decorations in the NHM shop too. The museum is committed to sustainability and Maxine Lister received one of our member awards at our Conference last month: https://lnkd.in/epHEDFch
Day Four: Lego tree ornaments
Day four of our POC Advent and we’re sharing Lego decorations for your Christmas tree 🎄 This time in the form of poem? As what’s more festive than rhyme?
Lego is a long-time POC friend,
Build them up, then let them end,
Dismantle the blocks, start fresh once more,
Creation and play – what Lego’s for!
Day Five: Pure Table Top tea towels
For day five of our advent calendar we’re sharing an idea we saw in the Holly & Co Christmas catalogue.
Instead of wrapping gifts in single use wrapping paper, why not use a tea towel? Two gifts for the price of one!
Products of Change member Pure Table Top | Certified B Corp has lots of lovely tea towels in their online shop for you to choose from.
These Pure Table Top tea towels would make a great gift, but you could also use them to wrap presents.
An alternative to wrapping paper and it has a use afterwards. Tie the corners together and tuck some greenery underneath for a festive finish.
Day Six: Gruffalo socks
For day six of our advent, here’s a product from two POC members, Roy Lowe & Sons Ltd and Magic Light Pictures.
The Gruffalo socks for all the family make a lovely gift to wear when watching a festive TV special this Christmas.
Day Seven: Holly & Co Strinsel
On day seven of our advent calendar, this alternative to tinsel, Strinsel, is bringing us some festive cheer from Holly & Co
Made in the UK using everlasting cotton twine and available to order online, Holly & Co’s Strinsel is a gorgeous alternative to tinsel, perfect for using year after year.
