The Products of Change Conference took place last week and offered a vibrant array of speakers and insights. Visit – or revisit – the Conference as it happened through this fantastic selection of photos from throughout the day.

Helena Mansell-Stopher, founder and CEO of POC, opened and introduced the Conference.
Moksha Roy, nine-year-old sustainability advocate was the brilliant keynote speaker for this year’s Conference. A highlight for many, Moksha struck home with emphatic words about the responsibility grown ups have to protect the planet for future generations.
Tony’s Chocolonely began the morning session with Georgina Savva and Hannah Perry speaking about Tony’s revolution of the cocoa supply chain.
POC advisor, James George, led a session outlining and discussing global regulations, alongside: Andrea Green, POC advisor and ambassador for North America, Jonathan Baker, Fabacus; Michelle Papayannakos, Paramount; and Mike Swain, POC advisor.
Michelle Carvill and Gemma Butler, authors and co-founders of Can Marketing Save the Planet, explained about new legislation on green claims and what companies can do to avoid falling into the trap of greenwashing.
The mid-morning break provided opportunities for networking and refreshments.
Beginning the second morning session, Helena discusses the hot topic of EUDR with: Steve Plackett, Carousel Calendars; Niina Niemela, UPM; Nicola Torode, DK Books; and Anand Punja, FSC Trace.
Matt Young, Bravado president, talked the audience through the sustainability progress Bravado has been making, and acknowledged there is still plenty of room for further progress and development, but that shouldn’t be a discouragement but an incentive.
Opportunity for the audience to ask questions to panelists and speakers.
Primark’s head of circularity, Nick Lambert, reveals the numerous initiatives the company is doing to foster a sustainable transition to a more circular fashion industry.
Head of partnerships at Louis Kennedy, Tracey Richardson, reveals the findings from a study it conducted on what makes meaningful partnerships between brands and charities?

POC Conference 2024 award winners and speakers, championing the UN 17 Goals for Sustainable Development.
The Barriers to Sustainability panel, lead by James George, included: Anne Bradford, Poetic Brands; Jakob Max Hamann, Lego; and Matt Young, Bravado.
Children’s publishers, Steph Cooper from Immediate Media, and Duncan Shearer from Seymour, open up about how they collaborated with their competitors in order to make sustainable reform in the children’s print media sector.
Harini Manivannan, South Pole, Sine Moller, Lego, and Michelle Papayannakos, Paramount, talk the audience through the process they went on as part of the POC Community to develop rigorous guidance on measuring Scope 3 emissions in the licensing industry.
A pause for mid-afternoon refreshments and further networking.
POC invited a handful of young professionals in the retail and licensing industry to attend the Conference, in order to ensure young people are part of these conversations.
Dunelm’s Lisa Ly and Jo Seddon discussed the company’s sustainability strategy and its achievements so far.
With ESPR regulations on the way, Austin Simms, Dayrize, Tanith Sellicks, Pure Table Top, and Jonathan Baker, Fabacus, present how they teamed up to create DPPs for the homeware sector, displayed on an exclusive POC mug.
Carmel Giblin, president and CEO, ESCP, explained how standardising safety and guidance for plastic recycling, could positively impact the children’s toys sector.
To conclude the conference, Bio-fluff founder, Roni Gamzon, revealed how her bio-based fur and textile company is launching into the plush toy sector, opening the door to non-plastic-based soft toys for children.
Celebrating a busy and successful day, attendees gathered to toast their wins and connect with their industry peers over networking drinks.
