Products of Change’s founder, Helena Mansell-Stopher will be delivering two educational sessions at Spring Fair 2024 to spotlight both the concept of conscious consumerism and showcase the cutting-edge sustainability trends shaping the future of retail.
Part of Spring Fair 2024’s Masterclass Studio and Trends Talks content programmes this year, both sessions will take place on Tuesday, 6th February.
The first session, titled ‘It Takes Two to Tango’ will kick off at 11am at the Masterclass Studio and will unpick the crucial role of the retailer and buyer when it comes to conscious consumerism while exploring the need to both educate and understand end consumers when it comes to sustainability.
Helena will also explore the latest innovation in sustainable retail, taking attendees on a journey through supply-chain shake ups and the revitalisation of business values and the circular economy.
The Products of change ceo will then return to the stage at 1.00pm that same day (Tuesday, 6th February) to deliver a session titles Sustainable Trends Unwrapped as part of the Trend Talks programme. This will delve into the cutting edge trends and emerging products currently shaping the future of retail while reducing its environmental impact.
Attendees have been invited to ‘learn how these advancements not only contribute to a greener future but also open exciting opportunities for purpose-driven success.’
Other sessions within Spring Fair’s 2024 sustainability educational agenda include Understanding B Corp – A Social and Environmental Impact which takes place at 12noon on Monday, 5th February and will feature Louisa Mordaunt, founder of I Love My Job, Daniel Fagan, director of Supply Chain at Talking Tables, and Hana Kidy, product coordinator at B Lab UK; and Retail Futures – Eco Innovations from Source to Sale… and Back Again with Paul Wright, group ESG director at PDS Ltd.
On Wednesday, 7th February, The Future Collective’s co-founders Kate Shepherd and Matt Parry will deliver a session under the Retail Design for Better series, called How can we Design Better? This discussion will unpack the core guiding principles of designing beyond aesthetics and focusing on the potential to create positive change. This session will take place at 11am under the Trend Talks programme.
Following this, Nick Reed, founder of Neem London will share his story of creating a low carbon modern menswear brand in the session billed Style that doesn’t cost the earth – the future of decarbonised style. This will take place at 11.30am.
Butterfly Air’s Ali and Nick Munro will take to the stage to reveal their mission to enhance the air quality and energy efficiency of buildings, inspiring retail to take a step towards a healthier and more sustainable future. The discussion will take place 12noon. At 1.30pm, Upcycle Labs’ co-founder and managing director, Barry Kane will talk attendees through his innovative waste management system in which fashion waste is reinvested back into consumer products.
