As part of Spin Master’s continued commitment to reimagining everyday play for future generations, the company recently donated a new playground to the Boys & Girls Club of Estrada Courts in Los Angeles.
Through the Spin Master’s ongoing partnership with TerraCycle, the playground was built entirely from recycled plastic — including previously loved Spin Master toys — benefiting both the environment and the local children.
Through this upcycled playground donation, Spin Master is turning sustainability into real-world impact, creating a safe, inclusive outdoor space for youth. The project expands access to play and connection for local kids and demonstrates how innovative partnerships built around collaborative recycling programmes can deliver tangible community benefits and help highlight the real potential of recycling items that might otherwise be discarded. This is the second playground made of recycled materials that Spin Master has donated.

“Together, we’re working to give our toys a second life and create something meaningful for this community. It’s an honor to continue investing in spaces where kids feel safe, supported and inspired,” commented Doug Wadleigh, president, Spin Master Toys.
“From laughter on the slides to teamwork on the climbing walls, our kids now have even more opportunities to explore and build healthy futures through the magic of play,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
TerraCycle is an innovative recycling company that has become a global leader in recycling hard-to-recycle materials, with the mission of “Eliminating the Idea of Waste”. Spin Master has partnered with TerraCycle since 2021, offering free toy recycling for its well-loved toys in the United States. In 2025, over 15,000 Spin Master toys were recycled through this programme by consumers, schools, and community organisations.

The grand ribbon‑cutting ceremony was a blast, complete with delicious cupcakes, toy giveaways and kids from the Boys & Girls Club coming together to enjoy their new play space for the very first time.
