Smiley and Billabong’s cotton woven pieces and denim pieces are certified eco-conscious cotton, farmed and produced in a way designed “to reduce the environmental impact of cotton production” while improving the livelihoods and economic development in cotton-producing areas along the whole supply chain.
Meanwhile, Smiley’s new cotton linen blend is made from a mix of 85% eco-conscious cotton and 15% linen. The linen is made from Flax, a raw material that uses less water than cotton in its production.

The collection of sweatshirts and sweatpants are made from a blend of 80% organic cotton and 20% recycled cotton which originates from scrap fibres that are collected as a by-product of the knitting process and would otherwise be wasted.
In the swim collection, the exterior of Smiley and Billabong’s neoprene is made from its 100% recycled Superflex jersey made up of 87% recycled polyester and 13% recycled elastane. It is bonded to the team’s eco-conscious foam which is created from a minimum of 30% recycled rubber from discarded car tyres as well as a blend of neoprene scraps. All the adhesives used in the neoprene are 100% water-based.
