POC Member, Danilo Promotions Ltd, has reached an important sustainability milestone, with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approving the company’s near-term science-based emissions reduction targets.
The approved targets commit Danilo to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 42% by 2030, from a 2023 base year, and to measure and reduce Scope 3 emissions across its value chain. Danilo’s Scope 1 and 2 target aligns with a 1.5°C pathway, the most ambitious level recognised by the SBTi.
The Science Based Targets initiative is a global climate action organisation that validates corporate emissions reduction targets in line with the latest climate science and what is needed to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
Claire Bates, senior marketing and sustainability manager at Danilo, said:
“We’re really happy to have our near-term targets approved by the SBTi. It’s an important step for Danilo, showing that our emissions reduction plans are grounded in climate science and giving us a clear, credible framework to focus on making meaningful reductions across our operations and value chain.”
Danilo’s approved targets are now publicly listed on the SBTi Target Dashboard. With this foundation in place, the business will focus on turning ambition into action and delivering measurable emissions reductions.
