The popular Summer Treasure Hunt in aid of The Light Fund is returning this month – with a new venue and a new part of the capital to explore, reports Samantha Loveday, Licensing Source.

Taking place on Thursday 17 July from 5.30pm until late, the event will head to Farringdon, with the route marked by several local pubs, and culminating in food, drink and networking with licensing industry colleagues at The Fable.

Teams will follow a map that features a series of questions and challenges. It is not a timed race: the winner will be the team who gains the most points.

There will also be a trophy for the winning team and a booby prize for the worst team of the evening, but it’s the taking part that counts.

Execs from companies including Paramount, Dependable Solutions, Panini, Rainbow Productions, Mischievous Wolf, All3Media, Blues Group, Aykroyds, Jazwares, Brand Collective, Hasbro and Penguin Random House have all confirmed their attendance, as well as a raft of licensing consultants and individuals which will be joining forces to form super groups.

Last year’s winners were The Consultants, who got a perfect score of 50, while at the other end of the table was the team from Funko with 26 points.

Tickets cost £45 per person, with teams of any number up to a maximum of 10 people. The price guarantees entry to the treasure hunt and includes hot food at The Fable.
