We are pleased to announce that Justgood has joined the POC Community. A retail merchandise and product development organisation, rooted in purpose and making things the right way.
Find out more about Justgood and its amazing work below:
- Tell me a bit about what you do:
At Justgood, we make sustainable retail products for brands to be proud of. Helping buyers protect margins, marketers tell compelling stories, and sustainability managers move products into the circular economy – without any of the headache.
We’ve spent over twenty years as a trusted supplier to some of the world’s biggest brands, including THG, Costa, Pret, Liberty, and Compare the Market. And they stick with us. Not by accident. But because we make better products and build great supply chains that are efficient, reliable, and commercially viable.
- What does sustainability mean to you?
It’s the reason why Justgood (previously Tiger Global) started. It’s built into our DNA. Our B Corp, GRS, RCS, SEDEX and BPMA certifications keep us accountable and help validate what we have always been doing.
- Why have you joined POC?
We believe that sustainability is a journey, not a destination. Real change isn’t about words, it’s about action and a commitment to continual learning and progress. We only succeed if we are working together and pulling in the same direction. We believe this is where POC can be really powerful for giving the opportunity to get like-minded brands and businesses in the same rooms and the same conversations to make real progress.
- What would you like to get out of POC membership?
To make real connection with likeminded businesses who are looking to cut through the noise around sustainability and regulation and deliver meaningful change within the consumer products industry at shelf level.
- Sustainability achievements so far?
Aside from recertifying as a B Corp. Securing our GRS and RCS audits enabled us to put the cherry on the cake for one of our clients. Once we had completed redesigning their supply chain to enable to them to switch from virgin to 90%+ recycled content stainless steel with all the carbon impact reduction benefits this brings, we also enable them to share this fact with on product statements without the fear of ASA recriminations. This is real positive change at product level.
- Sustainability ambitions?
More of the above! Because we have the frameworks in place, we can extrapolate this work to more product categories and more routes to market for the benefit of all stakeholders including the planet’s future generations.
- Thoughts on sustainability in product sourcing and manufacturing – challenges and opportunities?
Where to begin on this one… We understand that it’s hard. There are more stakeholders than ever before and there is more regulation to understand in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world. At the same time we all know that we want to make positive change to improve the impact that consumer goods have on the planet. Change will come from continued incremental improvements to product and service offerings that need to be realised when the opportunities present themselves. That could mean listening to a new voice with a good idea that can deliver results now.
