Products of Change is launching the industry’s first Sustainability Awards to align with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals and in celebration of the boldest and most pioneering companies and individuals in the global brand and licensing sector.
Four awards will be presented to four worthy recipients at the Sustainability in Licensing Conference taking place on Wednesday, 8 November at the Royal Geographical Society in London during a special session built-in to the day’s conference programme.
Each of the Products of Change Members SDGs awards will act to recognise the ground-breaking work being carried out to drive sustainable development forwards within the brand and licensing industry, while aligning that work with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals framework.
The Awards categories will recognise efforts made towards SDG 9, Industry Innovation and Infrastructurew Award; SDG 12, Responsible Consumption and Production; SDG 13 Climate Action; and SDG 17, Partnership for the Goals Award.
In this, the inaugural POC Members SDGs awards and the first-of-its-kind for the global industry, winners will be selected by the team of sustainability experts and advisors behind the Products of Change platform.
These winners will be invited onto the stage at the Sustainability in Licensing Conference next month to receive their award from none other than the deputy director of the United Nations’ Regional Information Centre, Caroline Petitwho will be opening the Conference this year with a keynote on the importance of incorporating the Sustainable Development Goals into business operations today if we are to achieve the 2030 ambitions laid out in the 2015 Paris Accord.
