Delve into the pages of the latest Products of Change magazine

The Products of Change magazine Autumn issue is now ready to read online, just in time for our POC Conference, on 6 November, where you can pick up a print copy.

Inspired by the incredible array of speakers presenting at the Products of Change Conference, this issue is brimming full of content with a focus on the conference and beyond, highlighting sustainable innovations and collaborations in the brand licensing industry, as well as crucial discussions on legislation and circularity.

Find the POC Conference Agenda on pages 16-19, to check out who is speaking and when, and to get a sneak peak at the topics of discussion that will be on the table.

Reporting on the latest sustainability updates from across the industry, the news pages will fill you in on what members and non-members alike are working on in the name of sustainable change.

And while sustainable change is considered the right direction, it can present complications, such as with the tidal wave of legislation that is raining down on the industry. We give you the lowdown on how businesses are adapting and preparing amid potential delays, as with EUDR, or uncertainty in application.

Pushing systemic change is something not unfamiliar to Tony’s Chocolonely, which opens up about its founding principles and what it has achieved so far, in the very complex area of the cocoa supply chain, wrought with child labour and poverty. Tony’s is leading my example with its persistence for transparency and the shared mission that the industry can do better, bringing along as many other companies as it can for the ride.

Circularity is a buzzword on the industry’s lips right now, especially when it comes to product manufacturing, including the likes of Primark, Dunelm, and Pure Table Top, which, with the know-how of Dayrize and Fabacus, discusses the very first Digital Product Passport (DPP) for the homeware industry. For those attending the POC Conference, they will see up close the fruits of this collaboration in the form of a POC mug, befit with its own DPP.

Moksha Roy, leading the youth in sustainable activism, opens the POC conference with a rallying call for action, but we go behind the scenes with Moksha and her family on pages 28 and 29 to really understand what it takes to be a family of changemakers.

As B Labs tightens its requirements for B Corp accreditation, POC Advisor, Heidi Florence, takes us through how these changes will ensure the process better aligns with global standards. And Tracey Richardson from Louis Kennedy, discusses the results of the company’s recent research report, into the ever-crucial topic of brand and charity partnerships.

Meanwhile, POC is very excited to share a pioneering new project it has been working on behind the scenes, rewriting guidance for measuring Scope 3 emissions for the brand licensing sector, which was discovered to be sorely lacking. If accepted, the guidance could be added to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, to ensure robust emissions reporting, and consequent reduction, from the entire brand licensing sector.

And finally, if you hadn’t had enough first-of-its-kind research and reporting from POC, find our Future Forecast Report from page 40. First published and printed for BLE 2024, the report evaluates where the brand licensing industry currently sits on its journey towards a more sustainable future.

A mammoth issue with the fantastic Future Forecast Report included, and a special edition for the POC Conference, we hope you enjoy delving between the pages of this latest issue, available here.
