Here is Week Two of the POC Advent Calendar, with even more sustainable and festive gift ideas that the POC team has picked out as favourites, including some great products from our members.
Day eight: Monopoly Lifesized experience London

Rather than giving a gift this season, why not give an experience?
Hasbros’ life-sized Monopoly activity involves traversing through challenges inspired by the Monopoly board game that every family knows and loves (or hates!). With four ‘boards’ to choose from there are numerous options to spend an experience gift card on.
Day nine: Adopt and animal through London Zoo

Earlier this year we welcomed the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) as Products of Change member. So how about adopting an animal through London Zoo as an alternative Christmas present?
ZSL has teams of conservationists, scientists, technicians and community specialists in over 70 countries. You can support their conservation work by adopting an animal as an alternative Christmas gift: https://shop.zsl.org/
Day ten: Willsow plantable books

For day ten of our advent calendar, is the first ever plantable children’s books from Willsow make perfect gifts or stocking fillers. They are made with handmade paper, embedded with real vegetable and herb seeds to grow.
Finalists for Gift of the Year and the Licensing Awards, there are several books to choose from as well as plantable Royal Horticultural Society crackers too.
Day eleven: Can Marketing Save the Planet?

Authors Michelle Carvill and Gemma Butler spoke about greenwashing claims at the Conference and their book is essential for any marketeer.
The book explores some of the most high profile sustainability challenges facing businesses and consumers, and 101 of the most practical solutions from the world of marketing.
Available from all good booksellers. We recommend purchasing from World of Books Group.
Day twelve: RSPB diary from Carousel Calendars

Today’s door showcases a products from two POC members, Carousel Calendars and the RSPB. A great stocking filler and a great collaboration.
Day thirteen: Little Beau Sheep and Aardman laundry balls

Another great collaboration saw Little Beau Sheep, a sustainable wool laundry ball brand, and Aardman studios create Shaun the Sheep wool laundry balls.
Among the sustainability virtues of Sarah’s product are not just the benefits of laundry balls in terms of energy use when tumble drying your washing but equally the brand’s dependence solely upon local, British wool, much of which was sourced (particularly in the early days) from the sheep farm just up the road from the Little Beau Sheep headquarters.
Day fourteen: Eden Project tips for a greener Christmas

For day fourteen we’re sharing ideas! The Eden Project have shared their tips for a greener Christmas and we’re inviting you to have a read as you get ready for the festive season this weekend.
