Another day and we’re delighted to see another POC Member picking up a King’s Award, this time its character costume creators, Rainbow Productions, recognised for global growth and industry-leading innovation.
Rainbow Productions, a trailblazer in bespoke mascot costume manufacturing and licensed character event management, has received one of the highest honours in British business – the King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2025.
Celebrating its 40th year, the London-based company has been recognised for exceptional growth in overseas sales, achieving a remarkable 106% increase since 2022 and expanding its reach to 13 new international markets. Today, Rainbow’s costumes and character management services are trusted in 65 countries worldwide – a testament to the company’s creative excellence, commitment to quality, and future-facing approach to innovation.
A longstanding leader in its sector, Rainbow’s international portfolio includes high-profile collaborations with brands such as Juventus, Barcelona FC, Kellogg’s, and Mondelez, and appearances at major global events including film premieres for Sonic the Hedgehog and Paddington. Its costume characters are a fixture at iconic locations like Peppa Pig World, LEGOLAND Resorts and Alton Towers Resort – bringing brands to life for millions of fans and families around the world.
Rainbow’s latest global partnership sees the company supplying costume characters for COTALAND – a new entertainment destination adjacent to North America’s only permanent Formula 1 racetrack in Orlando, Florida.
At its core, Rainbow remains a purpose-driven business, evolving with the times while holding steadfast to its values of craftsmanship, community, and creativity. The company operates from four dedicated units in the UK and engages over 250 trained mascot performers worldwide, supported by 30 full-time team members and 90 skilled freelance makers. From initial concept to costume creation to live event support, Rainbow offers a full-service solution unlike any other in the market.

Looking ahead, Rainbow is investing in sustainable innovation, including digital patterning and 3D printing, while continuing to foster the skills and talent that have defined its long-standing success. These forward-thinking developments are laying the foundation for a more resource-efficient and adaptable production model.
The company’s recent appointment as the Global Licensee for Hasbro’s Peppa Pig marks another milestone – placing Rainbow as the exclusive costume character manufacturer for one of the most recognised children’s brands in the world.
Simon Foulkes, managing director at Rainbow Productions, reflects on the achievement:
“This award is a proud moment for the whole team – recognition not only of our international growth but of the craftsmanship, care and creative energy that go into every project. A Rainbow mascot is known worldwide as the gold standard. With innovation, sustainability and quality guiding our journey, we’re excited for what comes next.”
As the global entertainment and licensing industries continue to evolve, Rainbow Productions stands as a shining example of how creativity, sustainability, and enterprise can work hand-in-hand to deliver impact on a world stage.
