The licensing team at the Royal Entomological Society (RES) are passionate about securing alliances that inspire kids to spend more time in nature, to discover and learn about the diversity of insects. This product is a fantastic opportunity to support these aims.
Launching to coincide with Insect Week (22-28 June), the Moon Garden Growing Kit has been created so kids can grow plants specially selected to support the UK’s often-overlooked night-time pollinators such as moths as well as some fly and beetle species.
The collaboration combines RES’ scientific expertise with Gardening for Kids‘ approach to nature-based learning. The kit contains everything needed to grow a collection of pale, fragrant flowers that attract nocturnal pollinators, supported with handy spotter guides and other top tips to encourage a variety of visitors to the new flower patch.

10% of the sales from every kit will support the Royal Entomological Society’s ongoing work in insect science, research, outreach and public engagement.
The Moon Garden kit is peat-free, plastic-free and biodegradable, reinforcing the shared commitment of both organisations to responsible product development.
Insect Week is a good time to plant moon gardens so they can have a positive impact in gardens and other growing spaces as well as in school grounds across the UK over the coming months.
