SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – GLG, Products of Change & POC Members

As part of our UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals activation at Licensing Expo 2025, we are showcasing our members and partners that are embodying various SDGs through they work they have done or are doing.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, is one of the most crucial ones for us here at POC and for the wider industry, and is something that we have been championing from the get-go. At POC’s root, it is a community and collaboration hub, which is why POC’s membership network, and its partnership with the Global Licensing Group (GLG) are representing this very important SDG.

“The Global Goals can only be met if we work together. International investments and support is needed to ensure innovative technological development, fair trade and market access, especially for developing countries. To build a better world, we need to be supportive, empathetic, inventive, passionate, and above all, cooperative.” – The Global Goals.

To do this, unsurprisingly, will take collaboration to create action:

  • Mobilise resources to improve domestic revenue collection;
  • Implement all development assistance commitments;
  • Mobilise financial resources for developing counties;
  • Assist developing countries in attaining debt sustainability;
  • Invest in least developed countries;
  • Knowledge sharing and cooperation for access to science, technology, and innovation;
  • Promote sustainable technologies to developing countries;
  • Strengthen the science, technology, and innovation capacity for least developed countries;
  • Enhance SDG capacity in developing countries;
  • Promote a universal trading system under the World Trade Organisation (WTO);
  • Increase the exports of developing countries;
  • Remove trade barriers for least developed countries;
  • Enhance global macroeconomic stability;
  • Enhance policy coherence for sustainable development;
  • Respect national leadership to implement policies for the SDGs;
  • Enhance the global partnership for sustainable development;
  • Encourage effective partnerships;
  • Enhance availability of reliable data;
  • Further develop measurements of progress.

The Global Licensing Group (GLG) creates international tradeshows, media and educational programmes, advancing the business of licensing and brand collaboration. It has been a strategic partner of Products of Change since the beginning.

As part of its FasterForward programme, the Group’s overarching sustainability strategy, Global Licensing Group has committed to a series of specific and ambitious goals and activities that, over a five-year period, will help it become an ever more sustainable, high impact business while supporting and accelerating change within the market. GLG’s partnership with POC is aiding the group towards this goal, by bringing the conversation of sustainability to both of its major tradeshows, Licensing Expo and Brand Licensing Europe.

This partnership brings the reach of sustainable education and opportunities to a wider audience, and is one of the many partnerships that POC has cultivated across its network since its founding.
