Careers | Sustainability roles open at SEGA Europe, Formula E and Selfridges

Exciting new opportunities to explore sustainability within the global brand, entertainment, and retail sector are beginning open up with head of sustainability positions now available at SEGA Europe, Formula E, and Selfridges this month.

With the conversation around sustainability across the brands and retail sector deepening by the day, companies and brand owners are increasingly expanding their current teams to fulfil sustainability and ESG roles.

SEGA Europe

Last week, the video game and arcade IP expert, SEGA Europe advertised it was looking for a Group Head of Sustainability and ESG to join its team based in SEGA’s European headquarters in Brentford, West London.

As group Head of Sustainability and ESG, the role will require an individual to take responsibility for developing, implementing, and managing sustainability strategies and programmes across SEGA Europe (SOE) with the aim of minimising the brand’s environmental impact, growing its business sustainably, and inspiring others to take action across the business with company-wide initiatives.

This newly created position will be both highly impactful and highly visible, demanding “a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, industry opportunities, and challenges related to ESG,” said the SEGA Europe team.

“The role offers the opportunity to build our Group Sustainability & ESG function, strategies, and outreach, working closely with our Publishing business and our European Studios.”

To fill the role, SEGA Europe is adopting a four-step interview process. The team requires an individual with direct experience in implementing and executing ESG reporting programmes in a corporate environment; robust knowledge of applicable regulations including CSRD, CSDDD, and GRI; a deep understanding of science-based targets, greenhouse gas frameworks, and environmental sustainability reporting frameworks; and the ability to translate technical topics into terms meaningful for general audiences.
