POC Member, ZSL (Zoological Society of London), has announced a series of new licensing partnerships, appointing Bigjigs Toys, EDX Education, Make Believe Ideas, Woodmansterne, Willsow and Loungers to coincide with ZSL’s 200th anniversary.

The new partnerships form part of a wider licensing programme celebrating two centuries of conservation, science, education and connecting people to nature, with each partner bringing their expertise and a strong educational focus to the London Zoo and ZSL brands.
Bigjigs Toys will develop a range of jigsaws and wooden toys, inspired by London Zoo’s iconic animals and heritage. The collection will focus on quality, play value and sustainability, aligning closely with ZSL’s conservation ethos.
POC Member, Willsow, has developed a paper made of ‘poo’ from the charity’s London and Whipsnade Zoos, which will be used to create a children’s book and puzzle.
EDX Education has secured the licence to create educational STEAM toys, designed to inspire curiosity, problem-solving and learning through play. The range will draw on ZSL’s scientific expertise and global conservation work, with products developed in collaboration with ZSL to ensure educational accuracy and relevance.
Make Believe Ideas will create a collection of plush toys, plush accessories, stationery and books, bringing London Zoo’s animals to life through playful, accessible designs for younger audiences.
Woodmansterne is creating a greetings card collection using historical images from ZSL’s library archive.
Loungers’ collection of organic cotton ZSL loungewear features the pangolin, one of the world’s most trafficked animals, highlighting the species ZSL is working to protect through its leading conservation efforts.
Launches took place at London Toy Fair and at Spring Fair. Products will roll out throughout 2026.
All of the above are part of the official ZSL 200 programme. ZSL’s bicentenary celebrates ZSL’s legacy as one of the world’s leading conservation charities, founded in 1826, while looking ahead to the future of wildlife protection and education.
“As we celebrate our 200th anniversary throughout 2026, these new partnerships and products are a wonderful way to bring people closer to nature,” said Abbie Taylor, brand licensing manager at London Zoo. “By working with partners who share our values around education, quality and sustainability, we can inspire curiosity about wildlife, connect more people with the natural world, and generate meaningful support for conservation in the UK and across the globe.”
The London Zoo and ZSL licensing programmes are managed by Metrostar, which continues to expand the brand’s presence across carefully selected partners and categories that support ZSL’s charitable mission.
Metrostar’s founder, Claire Potter, commented: “It’s inspiring to work with such creative partners who are shining a light on ZSL’s global conservation work through their amazing London Zoo and ZSL branded product ranges. London Zoo has incredible resonance and the ZSL teams have a great understanding of how to engage people in conservation. It is wonderful to see the collections take shape.”
